Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. About WhereToMove

WhereToMove is a neighborhood research tool that helps users explore nearby amenities, safety data, noise levels, and transport links for UK addresses. It is an informational service only — data is provided for research purposes and does not constitute professional property, legal, or financial advice.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using WhereToMove, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the service.
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense data obtained from WhereToMove without written permission.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or authentication mechanisms.
  • Introduce malicious code, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or interfere with service infrastructure.

4. Subscription and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Current prices are shown on the Pricing page.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
  • Downgrading to Free takes effect at the end of the billing period.

14-day cooling-off period (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013): You have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason. However, when you subscribe you will be asked to confirm that you want the service to begin immediately. By doing so, you acknowledge that your right to cancel within 14 days is waived once the service has begun, in accordance with Regulation 36 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

5. Refund policy

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the period ends and will not be charged again. For disputes or exceptional circumstances, contact support@wheretomove.io.

6. Service availability

WhereToMove is provided as-is during beta. We do not guarantee any specific uptime or service level. We may suspend or terminate the service at any time with reasonable notice. Planned maintenance will be communicated where possible.

7. Limitation of liability

Data provided by WhereToMove (crime statistics, noise levels, transport links, etc.) is sourced from third-party APIs and public datasets. It is informational only and may not be accurate, complete, or up to date. WhereToMove is not liable for decisions made based on this data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the service. You may request account deletion by emailing support@wheretomove.io.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
